JBER hosts Arbor Day tree planting

Maj. Gen. Peter Andrysiak, the U.S. Army Alaska commander, is presented with the Arbor Day Foundation’s Tree City USA by Jim Renkert, the Alaska Division of Forestry Community Forestry Program coordinator, during Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson’s annual Arbor Day tree planting ceremony at JBER, Alaska, May 21, 2021. JBER has received the Tree City USA designation for 26 consecutive years.
