EQUAL OPPORTUNITY

The JBER EO/EEO Office’s Mission is to eradicate unlawful discrimination, harassment, and bullying/hazing by educating military and civilian personnel on the protected categories, assisting commanders with maintaining a positive human relations climate, offering mediation and/or facilitated conversations, and processing EO/EEO complaints. We strive to accomplish our mission by fostering a positive environment in which members can rise to their highest level of potential based solely on merit, fitness, and capability, free from personal, social and institution barriers; as well as maintaining a trusted, utilized channel for presenting allegations of unlawful discrimination. Everyone has the inherent right to fair treatment, equal employment opportunities and a workplace free of harassment, hostility, bullying/hazing, and discrimination. Our primary objective is to assist personnel in addressing and resolving complaints of discrimination at the earliest possible stages of the complaint process and at the lowest level. It is incumbent upon all personnel to support the EO program and strive to eliminate any discriminatory policies and practices.
