EFMP Support Services Available

Exceptional Family Member Program (EFMP):

The Exceptional Family Member Program has more than one connection point for families.  The program has three separate components: Identification & Enrollment, Assignment Coordination and Family Support.

EFMP-Medical (EFMP-M):

EFMP-Medical provides screening, enrollment and assignment coordination through the Family Member Travel Screening process.  Enrollment in the EFMP is mandatory for Active Duty Service members. An EFMP family member can be an adult or child with physical, emotional, developmental, or intellectual disorder that requires specialized treatment, therapy, education, training, or counseling.

AFPC-Assignments (EFMP-A):

AFPC EFMP-A considers the medical and educational needs of the family when the required services are not available at the service member’s current or projected assignment location.  While the military mission is the driving force behind the assignment process, EFMP enrollment ensures that family members’ documented needs receive consideration in the process.

JBER Military Personnel Sections:

The JBER MPF Outbound Assignments (USAF/USSF) and Reassignments (USA) teams coordinate with unit CSS/S1 personnel to ensure outbound service members accomplish required actions prior to PCS departure. They also conduct Initial Assignment and Levy briefings. After dependent medical clearance requirements have been met, MPF will process PCS Authorizations for Soldiers and Amendments for Airmen/Guardians under the accelerated orders initiative.

EFMP-Family Support (EFMP-FS):

EFMP-FS helps families on the path to empowerment by providing information and referral services, non-medical case management, training and other forms of support, such as providing opportunities for families to connect with each other around a common need or concern.

If you are an EFMP family and would like your personal email added to the EFMP-FS email list to get program information at home, please email your name and branch of service to the following org box: 673FSS.FSG.JBER_EFMP_FS@us.af.mil.
