Arctic Warrior of the Week
U.S. Air Force Senior Airman Amanda Harris, center, immunization back-up technician assigned to the 673d Surgical Operations Squadron, pauses for a photograph with her team after being recognized as the Arctic Warrior of the Week at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska, Nov. 6, 2020. Harris administered more than 600 vaccines in support of the installation’s individual medical readiness rating of 98.6% on vaccinations. Additionally, as the Air Force Sergeants Association activities coordinator, she organized the 673d ABW’s POW/MIA 24-hour vigil run. When she took over her flight’s high-level disinfectant program, she created a knowledge-based test for her flight’s technicians that identified and addressed problem areas. As a result, she passed the Environment of Care inspection with zero write-ups. The AWOW is an award highlighting JBER’s top performing Airmen.
