Range Safety

Unexploded ordnance is a risk on most ranges. Personnel from the U.S. Forest Service, Division of Forestry and Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson Fire Department reported any UXO before conducting controlled burns May 3 through 6, 2015 at the Grezelka range on JBER, Alaska. These organizations are working together to prevent wildfires on the ranges this summer. When the humidity is low and the winds are high one spark could engulf an entire field.(U.S. Air Force photo/Airman Christopher R. Morales)
