JBER innovators nominated to 2020 Air Force Spark Tank
U.S. Tech. Sgt. Michael Cox, 673d Logistics Readiness Squadron (LRS) noncommissioned officer in charge of fuels training, U.S. Air Force Capt. Elizabeth Stevens, 673d LRS fuels management flight commander and Arctic Spark Council vice president, and U.S. Senior Airman Jeffrey Bernier, 673d LRS fuels service center controller, hold a C.B. hose prototype in the innovation lab at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska, Oct. 17, 2019. The C.B. hose, short for Cox-Bernier hose, is designed to alleviate complications when defueling fighter jets’ external fuel tanks. Cox and Bernier collaborated with people from different career fields across two service branches to create the prototype.
