Alaska troops compete in annual combat fishing tournament
Airman 1st Class Kristie McGuire, a 673d IPTS aerospace medical technician, participates in the Armed Services YMCA of Alaska Combat Fishing Tournament in Seward, Alaska, May 24, 2018. McGuire caught the biggest fish on Puffin Fishing Charters’ team, weighing in at 66.8 pounds. This was McGuire’s first time deep-sea fishing. Founded in 2006, the tournament was established as a way of showing thanks and honor to service members through an opportunity to go deep-sea fishing.
