The enlisted aide to the 11th Air Force commander was recently named Pacific Air Forces Senior Enlisted Aide of the Year for the second-straight year.

Master Sgt. Emile Bradley, enlisted aide to Lt. Gen. Dana T. Atkins, 11th Air Force commander, Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, was notified of his selection Sept. 25.

"I was at home over the weekend when my supervisor, General Atkins, called to congratulate me," said Sergeant Bradley. "I am truly honored; it is also very humbling that I have been selected two years in a row. I feel fortunate to work for and with amazing people that have groomed me throughout my career. I honestly feel that this honor is a reflection of some pretty amazing supervisors."

According to the award submission package, Sergeant Bradley "professionally planned and staged formal dinners and a myriad of events focused on broad range of vitally important topics affecting Alaska bases and Airmen. He also supervised a modernization project of the historical general officer quarters, while performing time-consuming research and sourcing documents to maintain period-dated integrity of the quarters."

General Atkins said Sergeant Bradley's commitment to his duties led to this award.

"Master Sergeant Bradley has truly earned this award," said General Atkins. "Being an enlisted aide is a very demanding job and his contributions range from direct support of distinguished visitors to advancing the strategic agendas of our combatant commanders. Sergeant Bradley's competency, work ethic, dedication and attention-to-detail help set him apart from his peers. We are fortunate to have an Airman like Sergeant Bradley in our command."

Sergeant Bradley believes embracing challenges and focusing on continuous improvement helped lead to this award.

"I truly believe that the best advice is to keep learning, keep growing," Sergeant Bradley said. "As you go through your career, you will find yourself outside your comfort zone. Embrace those challenging moments; they are making you stronger as an individual and eventually you will be recognized."

Sergeant Bradley also acknowledged this type of recognition is rarely a solo effort and that support from others helps make success possible.

"I truly work with an amazing team. I don't get anything done without the help of 673rd Protocol team and the 11th Air Force and Alaskan Command staff," he said. "I have also received a lot of help from civilians, officers, NCOs and Airmen across JBER (Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson) that just like to volunteer and great support from my family. All of these individuals have worked very hard to make our functions and my last year a success."
