Lt. Gen. Krumm takes command of NORAD, ALCOM, and the 11th Air Force

U.S. Air Force Lt. Gen. Thomas A. Bussiere is awarded the Defense Distinguished Service Medal during a change of command ceremony April 20, 2020, at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska. The Defense Distinguished Service Medal is presented to members for exceptionally distinguished performance of duty contributing to the national security or defense of the United States. Due to physical restrictions of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the virtual change of command ceremony was presided over via video teleconference by Air Force Gen. Terrence O’Shaughnessy, commander of the North American Aerospace Defense Command and United States Northern Command, and Air Force Gen. Charles Q. Brown, Pacific Air Forces commander.
