JBER hosts Chief Induction Ceremony

JOINT BASE ELEMENDORF-RICHARDSON, Alaska –
Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson hosted its annual Chief Master Sergeant Induction ceremony March 18.
Honoring seven enlisted leaders from across the 3rd Wing and 673d Air Base Wing, leadership recognized the Airmen’s promotion to the ninth and highest enlisted rank in the U.S. Air Force.
With the rank being created in 1959, only one percent of the total enlisted force will hold the rank of chief master sergeant at a given time.
