RCAF refuels German Tornados during Arctic Defender

A German Air Force PA-200 Tornado receives fuel from a Royal Canadian Air Force CC-130H Hercules during the European Air-to-Air Refueling Training portion of exercise Arctic Defender 24 at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska, July 11, 2024. Arctic Defender is a German Air Force-led exercise that provides a unique opportunity to integrate various forces into joint, coalition and multilateral training from simulated forward operating bases. EART trains tanker crews, planners, taskers and engineers, including maintenance personnel, in air-to-air refueling operations and offers a unique opportunity to the nations participating in Arctic Defender to train their tanker and fighter crews in planning and executing missions within a realistic and multinational framework.
