JOINT BASE ELMENDORF-RICHARDSON, Alaska -- At approximately 13:30 a high expansion foam system was activated in a hangar on JBER. The cause of the activation is unknown and currently under investigation.
High expansion foam does not contain either Perfluorooctane sulfonate (PFOS) or Perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA).
All personnel involved have been medically evaluated and cleared.
