Alaskan Command hosts Arctic Resolve 2022
JOINT BASE ELMENDORF-RICHARDSON, Alaska — Alaskan Command invited federal and state emergency response partners to participate in exercise Arctic Resolve 2022 at the combined headquarters of Alaska North American Aerospace Defense Command Region, Alaskan Command, and 11th Air Force on Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Aug. 26. The ALCOM-hosted, interagency exercise aimed to create a shared understanding of each organization’s roles and responsibilities through all stages of disaster response and defense support of civil authorities.

Alaskan Command Celebrates 75 Years
JOINT BASE ELMENDORF-RICHARDSON, Alaska — JOINT BASE ELMENDORF-RICHARDSON, Alaska–Alaskan Command celebrated its 75th anniversary January 4, 2022, at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska. The event was hosted by ALCOM’s current commander, Lt. Gen. David Krumm, and attended by two guest speakers, ALCOM commander from 1992 to 1994, retired Gen. Joseph W. Ralston and Director of Joint Staff for the Alaska National Guard, Brig. Gen. Wayne Don. Their words were followed by the unveiling of a new commemorative plaque that will be displayed on the ALCOM building.

Alaskan leaders visit Eielson to discuss the F-35A
EIELSON AIR FORCE BASE, Alaska — Fifty-four F-35A Lightning II multi-role fighter aircraft are slated to arrive at Eielson beginning in Spring of 2020, with the final F-35 being delivered in 2022. The addition of two F-35 fighter squadrons to Eielson Air Force Base, Alaska will help deter possible adversaries in the Indo-Asia Pacific Region.
