The GSA ServMart held a customer appreciation day to provide an opportunity to meet approximately 40 GSA vendor partners and suppliers at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, June 13.

The event also allowed customers to see displays of new items that are available for purchase through the program.

“[The appreciation day] is an opportunity for the ServMart to showcase current and new products while interacting with our customer base in a fun and engaging way,” said Brad Walsh, the JBER ServMart store manager. “It provides an opportunity for customers to engage with ServMart staff, ask questions directly to the suppliers, offer feedback, and build relationships between the customer and the ServMart.”

The ServMart has the capability to support all Department of Defense, federal agencies, and tribal communities throughout the State of Alaska. When a customer orders an item that is in stock, ServMart can have the item shipped and received within 48-72 hours.

“The GSA ServMart at JBER provides a one-stop-shop of common-use supplies and industrial equipment required in support of mission readiness and daily sustainment,” said Walsh. “These products are readily available, along with a catalog of more than one million items that can be ordered instead.”

According to Walsh, the ServMart provides customers with an easier, more streamlined purchasing process since the products have been vetted and approved before being stocked.

“Customers have increased purchasing power through access to pre-negotiated contract pricing,” said Walsh. “Ultimately, users can expect a streamlined purchasing experience that results in cost savings and high-quality items that support mission readiness.”

The GSA ServMart is located at 5250 Gibson Ave. To obtain instructions creating an online account, email jber.servmart@gsa.gov.
