September 11 25th Anniversary JBER memorial and stair climb

Participants, including U.S. Air Force Col. Daniel Werner, JBER and 673d Air Base Wing commander, descend stairs during the 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska, Sept. 11, 2026. Service members, first responders and base leadership completed 110 stories on facility steps to pay tribute to the emergency personnel and victims who lost their lives on Sept. 11, 2001. JBER leadership participated alongside service members throughout the memorial climb to demonstrate unity and continued support for the first responder community.
