3rd Wing participates in exercise Croix du Sud

U.S. Air Force Staff Sgt. Matthew Gumaer, an aircraft maintainer, left, and Staff Sgt. Andrea Beyette, a loadmaster, both assigned to the 3rd Wing at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska, take in the view of the ocean on the ramp of a C-17 Globemaster III for an airdrop during exercise Croix du Sud over Wallis and Futuna, April 29. Multinational exercises like Croix du Sud 25 increase the armed forces’ ability to work together across the military spectrum to respond to crises, support the local population, and accomplish the mission. Joint and multilateral exercises strengthen relationships and increase interoperability with allies and partners through shared experiences and tough, realistic training.
