JBER aircrew, French Army work together to unload Puma from C-17
U.S. Air Force Airmen assigned to the 3rd Wing at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska, team up with the French Army New Caledonia to unload an AƩrospatiale SA 330 Puma Helicopter and other cargo from a C-17 Globemaster III during exercise Croix du Sud at Hihifo Airport in Wallis and Futuna, April 28. Exercise Croix du Sud 25 is a joint and multinational flying training exercise organized and led by the New Caledonian Armed Forces. The 374th Airlift Wing and 3rd Wing conduct air operations in a multinational environment and enhance security relations with key partnering nations by demonstrating U.S. resolve to support the security and humanitarian interests of friends and allies in the region; increase regional capacity for managing regional disaster and crisis events; and enhance partnership and interoperability between U.S., France and surrounding Oceania countries.
