36th Airlift Squadron participates in exercise Croix du Sud
A C-130J Super Hercules assigned to the 36th Airlift Squadron in Yokota Air Base, Japan, prepares for take-off on the flightline of the Pago Pago International Airport during exercise Croix du Sud in Pago Pago, American Samoa, April 19. Exercise Croix du Sud 25 is a joint and multinational flying training exercise organized and led by the New Caledonian Armed Forces. The 374th Airlift Wing and 3rd Wing conduct air operations in a multinational environment and enhance security relations with key partnering nations by demonstrating U.S. resolve to support the security and humanitarian interests of friends and allies in the region; increase regional capacity for managing regional disaster and crisis events; and enhance partnership and interoperability between U.S., France and surrounding Oceania countries.
