Competition makes us better

U.S. Air Force Lt. Gen. David Nahom, the commander for Alaskan NORAD Region, Alaskan Command, and Eleventh Air Force, provides the keynote address at the William Tell air-to-air competition in Savannah, Ga., Sept. 12, 2023. A team consisting of 3rd Wing and 477th Fighter Group personnel competed against eight other teams for the first time in 19 years. The weeklong competition tests aircrew performance in air superiority, while evaluating weapons use and the tactics used, as well as includes weapons loading, maintenance, and weapons’ director competitions.
