Polar Force 21-5
U.S. Air Force Airman Anastasia Simon, a food service apprentice assigned to the 673d Force Support Squadron, constructs a Small Shelter System in preparation for Polar Force 21-5 at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska, March 31, 2021. Polar Force is an exercise designed to test JBER’s mission readiness as well as honing Airmen’s skills and techniques in a simulated expeditionary environment. Airmen refined their contingency tactics, techniques and procedures to support the base's ability to integrate, mobilize, and prepare assigned personnel, aircraft and equipment for a wartime mission.
