Arctic Warrior of the Week

U.S. Air Force Airman 1st Class Mike Rosales, center, 673d Dental Squadron dental assistant, is recognized as the Arctic Warrior of the Week by U.S. Air Force Col. Kirsten Aguilar, Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson and 673d Air Base Wing commander, at JBER, Alaska, March 25, 2021. Rosales leads the scrub-management team for his squadron and assists two dentists with caring for 2,600 patients. Rosales maintained productivity levels during COVID-19 and Health Protection Condition operation restrictions and despite supply shortages. His team was able to execute 1,107 dental procedures, enabling the wing to maintain their 98.4% readiness rate. Rosales stepped up as a member of the security team for the 673d Medical Group Security Detail for six months, during which he manned shifts for 24-hour entry control point operations. Rosales was also hand-selected by the 673d DS Non-Commissioned Officer Council as the dental technician for March. The AWOW is an award highlighting JBER’s top-performing Airmen.
