Arctic Warrior of the Week

U.S. Air Force Airman 1st Class Giovanni Ortiz, a medical records technician assigned to the 673d Medical Support Squadron, is recognized as the Arctic Warrior of the Week by U.S. Army Col. Dean Denter, Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson and 673d Air Base Wing vice commander, at JBER, Alaska, Feb. 26, 2021. Ortiz was a key team member for the COVID-19 vaccination line by dedicating 18 hours to registering patients and performing other administrative duties. His efforts ensured 70 patients received the COVID-19 vaccine. The Arctic Warrior of the Week is an award highlighting JBER's top-performing Airmen.
