Arctic Warrior of the Week

U.S. Air Force Senior Airman Karlie A. Gamez, left, 673d Logistics Readiness Squadron fuels information manager, is recognized as the Arctic Warrior of the Week by U.S. Army Col. Dean Denter, Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson and 673d Air Base Wing vice commander, at JBER, Alaska, Feb. 18, 2021. Gamez completed a project that involved preparing and updating 15 tablets, eight desktop computers and two laptops, ensuring personnel who were teleworking had 24/7 access to critical information during COVID-19 operations. Additionally, Gamez synced a real-time critical report for the Joint Chiefs of Staff, reporting emergency petroleum, oils, and lubricants information, providing critical information to key Air Force leaders. Lastly, she played a leading role in constructing the fuels operations report, which equips major command leadership with up-to-date fuel and cryogenic capabilities.
