Air Force NCO has change of heart about vaccine
Tech. Sgt. Jerry Dye, a quality assurance specialist with the 3rd Maintenance Group, receives a COVID-19 vaccination at the Elmendorf Fitness Center on Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson Jan. 14, 2020. Dye was motivated to get the vaccine after his 6-year-old son was hospitalized with Multisystem Inflammatory Syndrome in Children, or MIS-C, a complication of the disease. Since the whole family had COVID-19 in November, Dye had planned to wait to be vaccinated, but changed his mind and jumped at the chance, hoping to prevent other families from dealing with the same difficulties.
