Arctic Warrior of the Week

U.S. Air Force Senior Airman Raymond Rowland, a combat mobility specialist assigned to the 773d Logistics Readiness Squadron, is recognized as the Arctic Warrior of the Week by U.S. Air Force Col. Kirsten Aguilar, Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson and 673d Air Base Wing commander, at JBER, Alaska, Nov. 20, 2020. Rowland led a short-notice joint inspection to redeploy support equipment for the 354th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron. This mission required his team to land a cargo jet, conduct a joint inspection, load cargo, and take off within a six-hour window. Additionally, Rowland is the primary aerial delivery support load planner and dispatcher for the 517th Airlift Squadron, 144th Airlift Squadron, and 211th Rescue Squadron. As a dispatcher, he coordinates aerial delivery mission requirements and assigns working teams to each mission to ensure all execution times are met. The AWOW is an award highlighting JBER’s top performing Airmen.
