673d SGCS hosts commander immersion tour

U.S. Air Force Col. Kirsten Aguilar, Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson and 673d Air Base Wing commander, uses a cast saw with assistance from U.S. Air Force Senior Airman Ian Fanning, 673d Surgical Operations Squadron orthopedic surgical technician, to remove a cast from U.S. Staff Sgt. Keating Miranda, 673 SGCS orthopedic surgical technician, cast during a 673d SGCS immersion tour at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska, Sept. 29, 2020. Aguilar familiarized herself with the 673d SGCS and its role in supporting readiness after taking command of the installation July 14, 2020. The 673d SGCS provides a full range of medical care to include surgical and non-surgical intervention to JBER and the greater Anchorage area.
