Arctic Warrior of the Week

U.S. Air Force Airman 1st Class Andrea Snyder, center, a 673d Medical Group medical logistics technician, is recognized as the Arctic Warrior of the Week by U.S. Air Force Col. Lee Mills, far right, JBER and 673d ABW command chief, at JBER, Alaska, Oct. 2, 2020. Snyder played a lead role in the first-ever test of Arctic contingency hospital capabilities. During the Polar Force 20-4 exercise she readied nine aircraft pallets in an astounding five hours, with zero write-ups from the Joint Inspection. Finally, in April 2020, she played a key role in sending a 25-bed contingency hospital to Guam in support of the CVN-71 recovery mission, providing front line care for the 4,200 sailors aboard the USS Theodore Roosevelt. The AWOW is an award highlighting JBER’s top performing Airmen.
