Arctic Warrior of the Week
U.S. Air Force Airman 1st Class Kyle Hackett, right, 673d Communications Squadron client systems technician, is recognized as the Arctic Warrior of the Week by U.S. Army Col. Dean Denter, Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson and 673d Air Base Wing vice commander, at JBER, Alaska, July 31, 2020. Hackett scored a 90% and 93% on both of his end-of-course exams, and completed the training in four months. Additionally, he was handpicked as one of three Air Force Public Key Infrastructure Trusted Agents providing Secret Internet Protocol Router tokens to senior leaders on JBER enabling them command-and-control access to secure networks. Finally, Hackett showed his technical prowess by developing a computer script to automate the remote configuration of printer settings and complete vulnerability checklists for the joint base, saving 10 man-hours per week for the Client Systems work center. The AWOW is an award highlighting JBER’s top performing Airmen.
