Arctic Warrior of the Week

U.S. Air Force Airman 1st Class Jack Layman, 673d Air Base Wing Public Affairs broadcast journalist, is recognized as Arctic Warrior of the Week by U.S. Air Force Col. Patricia A. Csànk, Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson and 673d ABW commander at JBER, Alaska, Jan. 3, 2020. Layman created and led a “Coffee and Coding” program at JBER’s innovation lab, introducing high achieving Airmen and Soldiers to the fundamentals of computer coding in a relaxed, invigorating learning environment. Handpicked to create the FY19 JBER Yearbook, the top-notch product he crafted thoroughly and artfully captured JBER’s FY19 national security impact. The Arctic Warrior of the Week is an award highlighting JBER’s top-performing Airmen.
