JBER innovators nominated to 2020 Air Force Spark Tank
U.S. Tech. Sgt. Michael Cox, 673d Logistics Readiness Squadron noncommissioned officer in charge of fuels training, and Jarred Sapp, U.S. Army Alaska science advisor, present a C.B. hose prototype during the Begin Morning Nautical Twilight workshop in the innovation lab at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska, Sept. 6, 2019. The C.B. hose, short for Cox-Bernier hose, is designed to alleviate complications when defueling fighter jets’ external fuel tanks. Cox and Senior Airman Jeffrey Bernier, 673d Logistics Readiness Squadron fuels service center controller, collaborated with people from different career fields across two service branches to create the prototype.
