Alaska State Defense Force change of command

Brig. Gen. Torrence Saxe, the adjutant general of the Alaska National Guard, passes the Alaska State Defense Force's unit colors to the incoming commander, Col. Simon Brown, at a change of command ceremony on Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Oct. 16, 2019. The previous commander, Col. John James, has served in the ASDF since 2011.
