Arctic Warrior of the Week

U.S. Air Force Airman 1st Class Jadakiss Smith, 673d Medical Support Squadron pharmacy technician, is recognized as Arctic Warrior of the Week by U.S. Army Col. Dean Denter, Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson and 673d Air Base Wing vice commander, and U.S. Air Force Chief Master Sgt. Earl Wormley, 673d Mission Support Group group superintendent, at JBER, Alaska, Sept. 20, 2019. Smith processed of over 110,000 prescriptions supporting Alaska’s 159,000 beneficiaries. In addition, Smith aided with the installation of a $327,000 Medstation by unloading and loading 1,200 medications, which improved inventory control and promoted patient safety. Smith’s extremely positive attitude is continuously noted by both patients and leadership, and he has been recognized for going above and beyond in his duties while taking care of patients. The Arctic Warrior of the Week is an award highlighting JBER’s top-performing Airmen.
