Arctic Warrior of the Week
U.S. Air Force Senior Airman Frank Horton, 673d Logistics Readiness Squadron decentralized material support journeyman, is recognized as Arctic Warrior of the Week by U.S. Army Col. Dean Denter, Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson and 673d Air Base Wing vice commander, and U.S. Air Force Chief Master Sgt. Earl Wormley, 673d Mission Support Group superintendent, at JBER, Alaska, Sept. 20, 2019. Horton is responsible for providing supply chain support to sustain F-22 Raptors in support of the Pacific’s keystone weapon system flight operations. As a shift leader, Horton filled 163 maintenance requirements worth $2 million and expedited 22 mission critical shortfalls for 11 grounded aircraft. Her efforts enabled 168 sorties flown for 214.3 hours while attaining an 80.1% mission capability rate. The Arctic Warrior of the Week is an award highlighting JBER’s top-performing Airmen.
