Admiral Visits Cordova as Part of Navy's Arctic Expeditionary Exercise

Rear Adm. Scott Gray, commander of Navy Region Northwest, learns about local commercial fishing processes from John Renner, a commercial fisherman in Cordova. Gray was in Alaska along with approximately 3,000 U.S. Navy and Marine Corps personnel supporting the Arctic Expeditionary Capabilities Exercise (AECE) 2019. AECE 2019, is a joint training exercise that tests expeditionary logistical capabilities in the Arctic region and prepares joint forces to respond to crises across the Indo-Pacific.
