Arctic Warrior of the Week

U.S. Air Force Senior Airman Evan Quintrell, 773d Civil Engineer Squadron heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration journeyman, is recognized by U.S. Air Force Col. Patricia A. Csànk, 673d Air Base Wing commander, as the Arctic Warrior of the Week at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska, September 6, 2019. Quintrell responded to an air conditioning outage at the Instrumental Landing System and Precision Approach Radar System. He identified and replaced a leaking valve that brought the unit back online, restoring critical cooling to $8 million equipment enabling full runway operations. The Arctic Warrior of the Week is an award highlighting JBER's top-performing Airmen.
