Arctic Warrior of the Week

Shannon Simmons, contract specialist, is recognized as the Arctic Warrior of the Week at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska, Aug. 16, 2019. Simmons identified an accounting error that lead to the discovery of a $200k overpayment to the contractor and is actively rectifying the issue through coordination with multiples agencies. The Arctic Warrior of the Week is an award highlighting JBER's top performing Airmen.
