First enlisted Air Force contracting Legislative Fellow to serve in Congress
U.S. Air Force Lt. Col. Taono Enriquez, 673d Contracting Squadron commander, hosted Chief Master Sgt. Marcus Oats, the first enlisted Air Force contracting Legislative Fellow to serve in Congress, at a conference call on July 26, 2019, at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska. Oats' assignment on Capitol Hill marks the 7th year of the enlisted fellow program. It's an incredible opportunity for senior noncommissioned officers to represent the invaluable institutional expertise and experience of America's enlisted force. Enriquez and Oats were both selected to support Alaska Senator Lisa Murkowski. Their knowledge in military construction and other related appropriations was evident as they worked with the Senator's team to bolster the resilience of Alaska's military installations.
