Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson security forces personnel practice confrontation management scenario during a simulated protest for Polar Force 19-4 at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska, April 1, 2019. The simulated protest began as a peaceful demonstration which escalated, resulting in a few aggressive protesters being detained. The exercise test the base’s ability to integrate, mobilize, and prepare assigned personnel, aircraft and equipment to handle real-world situations.
