U.S. Air Force Col. Patricia Csànk, 673d Air Base Wing commander, recognizes Airman 1st Class Zachary Rayfield, 673d Civil Engineer Squadron firefighter, as the Arctic Warrior of the Week at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska, Nov. 28, 2018. Rayfield responded as a lead rescue-man to a vehicle rollover during clement weather, preventing serious harm to the driver. Additionally, he completed 80 training hours and 273 tasks earning national certification as a hazardous material technician. The Arctic Warrior of the Week award highlights JBER’s top performing Airmen.
