Fisher House opens second home away from home

A statue of Zachary and Elizabeth Fisher stands in the foyer of the newly built Fisher House II at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska, Sep. 10, 2018. The Fisher House Foundation was started in 1990 by the Fishers. The program is a unique private-public partnership established to improve the quality of life for military members, retirees, veterans and their families.
