JBER firefighters participate in exercise in preperation for 2018 Arctic Thunder Open House
Louis Larousse, 673d Civil Engineer Squadron (CES) fire and emergency services crew chief, directs Airmen firefighters during an active-shooter exercise at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska, May 17, 2018. Larousse is a crew chief for Fire Engine #2 and was a lead participant in the exercise in preparations for the Arctic Thunder Open House scheduled to take place June 30 and July 1. Airmen from the Alaska Air National Guard’s 176th Wing and the 673d CES fire and emergency services participated in the exercise to test their capabilities in challenging circumstances and provide training for possible incidents.
