JBER Little League participates in 2018 Opening Day ceremony

Jack, 8, son of Amber Jeppson, an Army spouse, swings the bat during a coach-pitch Little League opening day game at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska, May 12, 2018. The games started immediately following the opening day ceremony and continued throughout the day. JBER YSP abides by the National Alliance for Youth Sports-affiliated National Youth Sports Coaches Association, which provides education on topics such as the psychology of coaching youth sports, communication, child abuse, injury prevention, and nutrition and hydration, as well as skills and drills.
