Cory Etchberger, son of Medal of Honor recipient Chief Master Sgt. Richard Etchberger, shares his father’s story at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska, May 7, 2018. Chief Etchberger’s acts of extraordinary heroism during the Vietnam War at Lima Site 85, in Laos, March 11, 1968, saved the lives of three Airmen. He is the only E-9 of any U.S. military branch to receive the Medal of Honor.
