JOINT BASE ELMENDORF-RICHARDSON, Alaska - A U.S. Air Force C-5M Super Galaxy transport aircraft from Travis Air Force Base, Cali., airlifted two U.S. Army AH-64D Apache attack helicopters from Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii, Jan. 20, 2018, to Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska. Ground crews are able to load and off-load the C-5 simultaneously at the front and rear cargo openings, reducing transfer time for homeland defense.
