FONSS make historic restoration at Nike Site Summit

A dilapidated fence hangs in front of the missile launch and storage area at Nike Site Summit, at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska, Sept. 9, 2017. Nike Site Summit was constructed in 1959 as a response to the advanced Soviet bombers of the 1950s. The site was then decommissioned in 1979.
