Members of U.S. Army Alaska’s 9th Army Band perform alongside the flute section at Sonic Boom May 4 at the Sullivan Arena in Anchorage. More than 2,000 sixth-grade band and orchestra students performed at the event, showcasing the skills they’ve learned during their first year of music education with the Anchorage School District.
