JBER hosts POW/MIA ceremony

The Joint-Service Honor Guard present the colors during the POW/MIA ceremony at the Alaska National Guard Armory, Sept. 16, 2016. Alaska Gov. Bill Walker proclaimed Sept. 16 POW/MIA Recognition Day. “Alaskans are encouraged to honor, support, and remember those who were prisoners of war, those presently missing in action, and their loved ones, and I direct that all state agencies in possession of a POW/MIA flag shall fly [it],” the governor said.
