549th Military Working Dog Detachment showcases capabilities
Cpl. Jared Schultz, a dog handler with the 549th Military Working Dog Detachment, demonstrates how a trained dog can take down an assailant on command. Military Police from the 549th MWD Detachment showcased their dogs’ capabilities during the 40th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Squadron (Airborne), 25th Infantry Division, 4th Infantry Brigade Combat Team (Airborne) Organization Day at Otter Lake Chalet on June 3. Representatives from the 549th MWD Detachment executed a variety of commands for their dogs, including taking down a running offender and how they assist in a traffic stop.
