JBER units conduct Joint Airborne and Air Transportability Training

U.S. Army jumpmasters assigned to the 1st Battalion, 501st Parachute Infantry Regiment, 4th Infantry Brigade Combat Team (Airborne), 25th Infantry Division, ensure that their fellow paratroopers are properly outfitted before conducting joint airborne and air transportability training (JAATT) at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska, May 19, 2016. JAATT familiarizes units with establishing drop zones and airfields, as well as proper communication with aircraft supporting resupply missions. The Soldiers of 4/25 IBCT belong to the only American airborne brigade in the Pacific and are trained to execute airborne maneuvers in extreme cold weather/high altitude environments in support of combat, partnership and disaster relief operations.
