A U.S. Air Force C-17 Globemaster III from the 517th Airlift Squadron does a fly-by prior to landing at Bryant Army Air Field on Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska, March 7, 2016. The event marked the first time a C-17 has taken off from the airfield since its construction in 1958, when the runway was built by the U.S. Army on then-separate Ft. Richardson to support Soldiers in remote areas of Alaska. (U.S. Air Force photo by Senior Airman James Richardson)
